The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of 12-weeks of apple consumption on blood glucose control, blood pressure, arterial stiffness, vascular function and the neural control of the cardiovascular system, as well as body composition (fat mass, fat free mass, and bone mineral density) and blood biomarkers of cardiovascular health. Study participants will consume 75 g apple powder or apple-flavored placebo powder daily for 12-weeks.

Study participants will consume 480 ml tart cherry juice or cherry-flavored placebo drink daily for 12-weeks.
